What is your FOCUS today?

As we come to the end of another year, I stop and reflect on all that happened from January till now…when I do, I stand amazed! First, I made it! Through everything, day after day, hour after hour, minute after minute, I made it! And because I know that I didn’t just make it on my own, I have to first thank God for His keeping power over my life throughout this year. If it had not been for God through Jesus Christ, there really is no telling where I would be…I next thank MyMom for her never-ending love and support in everything…for her wisdom and love for God, family, and people, and for her praying spirit! She loves to pray!! And for my friends…friends till the end no matter time, distance, or position in life…friends!

During this time of the year, we celebrate the birth of Christ into the world. God wrapped in flesh that dwelt among us. I was reminded of this passage of scripture in Isaiah 53, “He is despised and rejected of men; a man of sorrows, and acquainted with grief: and we hid as it were our faces from him; he was despised, and we esteemed him not. Surely he hath borne our griefs, and carried our sorrows: yet we did esteem him stricken, smitten of God, and afflicted. But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon him; and with his stripes we are healed. All we like sheep have gone astray; we have turned every one to his own way; and the Lord hath laid on him the iniquity of us all (vs. 3-6 KJV).”

-He, Jesus, borne our grief – so He carried and transported our grief away so we would not have to carry it…
-He carried our sorrows – again – so we would not have to! But what did we do?? We thought that He was being punished by God for wrongs He had done…nope!! He took those things, He ENDURED those things FOR US!!  What am I trying to get you to see here??? Rejoice!! For the Savior, Jesus Christ, came into the world, born to a virgin, to save us FROM OURSELVES and give us new life in Him!! When we accept that and look towards the Cross, then new life can begin!!

If you have not seen the movie “War Room,” it is a must see before it leaves the theaters!! Or if you do miss it, it is a movie you NEED to add to your collection. I certainly will get it!!

It is a powerful movie about the power of prayer. And not just prayer to be praying, but praying the Word of God and the power that can be demonstrated when one prayers IN FAITH – BELIEVING that God CAN DO IT!!

You may ask, why talk about prayer??? Well, I believe that is a very powerful vehicle to relay a message through, so check out this song and know that WE believe, without any doubt, that YOU ARE WORTH FIGHTING FOR!!!!

Greetings Ladies!!! For many, today was the first day of school. Welcome back! Hope it was great!

We continue our discussion this month on keeping FOCUS! We are FOCUSED Ministries, Inc. focusing our all on Christ. Yes, we are a faith-based organization but with a heart to serve, not condemn.

Greetings Ladies!

A new school year has begun for many of us. Some are still enjoying the lazy days of summer – sleeping late, riding our bikes, or just hanging out around the house.

As your school year gets started, what will be YOUR focus? True, there will be many things that try to gain your focus – teachers and homework, your friends, BOYS, parents, the latest fashions…I want to encourage you to let God be your primary lens through which you focus everything else through! “Huh?? What??” you may say…Yes, focus on God! He has your best interests in mind…and when you focus on Him, He reveals those mysteries to you so that you will grow and be the Young Ladies He has called you to be…

The month of September will be a month FOCUSED on how God sees you…it will be an exciting journey helping you to redefine, redesign, and reignite YOUR focus on the good of living. Join us on this journey…it will be grand!

Greetings!  Wanted to say a big, huge THANKYOU to everyone who attended the official launch of FOCUSED Ministries, Inc. on January 25th. It was a tremendous blessing being able to share w/the church the vision and mission that the Lord has given!  I was blessed when Geneva arrived w/her grand-daughter, ecstatic when I saw Elder and Sissy walk through the doors of the church, and excited to see Mrs. Thompson and Ginny! And, of course, w/MyDearOne (Mom) there, it made it all around special!! Missed those who could not attend, but this was just the first of many firsts!

A big thank you as well to those who celebrated w/us at the luncheon!!

To ALL who have supported me through the vision and mission of FOCUSED Ministries, Inc. – Family – Church family – Friends…THANK YOU!! The work has only yet begun, but the Lord will continue to lead and guide! So I pray you would continue to follow me as I follow Christ in this project!! God bless! LoveU
